Dr. Alireza Zali was born in Damavand on 25/3/1966. In 1982, he received a high school diploma in experimental sciences from Kharazmi High Schooland was ranked first in Tehran province. He graduated from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in 1988. He graduated from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in 1994 in the field of neurosurgery and obtained the first rank in the four-year intra-educational exams in neurosurgery. In 1998, he succeeded in obtaining a board certificate and in 2005, he received a stereotaxy fellowship from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. He is currently a full professor, director of the Department of Neurosurgery, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, director of the Functional Neurosurgery Research Center of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, and head of the Scientific Center for Neurosurgery in the country.
