History and introduction

The Department of Neurosurgery of Shohada Tajrish Hospital in 2016 was recognized as a scientific, educational and research center of neurosurgery in the country by the order of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education.

The scientific hub of neurosurgery with a strategic, in-depth and forward-looking view, according to national processes, strives for progress, development and gaining a privileged position in this specialized field or the required field in the field of health.

The nature of the scientific hub of neurosurgery is multidisciplinary and therefore, in addition to the main part of neurosurgery, other specialized groups and capable forces in the field of internal neurology such as neurology, psychiatry and related basic sciences to eliminate problems beyond neurosurgery have been used in the country.
