Student Research And Technology Committee
The Student Research And Technology Committee has been established in order to organize and implement the activities of students of different fields in the Functional Neurosurgery Research Center.
Objectives
- Creating a suitable platform for flourishing, growth and scientific and research promotion of students and training of the future researchers and managers of the country
- Institutionalizing research activities among students
- Empowering of the students in the field of research through various theoretical and practical education methods
- Promoting research skills and culture in the students
- Creating and improving the research relationship between professors and students
Head of the Committee
Dr. Sara Rahmati Roodsari, born in 1980 in Tehran, received her diploma in experimental sciences in 1998 from Farzanegan High School, ranked number one (National Organization for Talent Development). In 2006, she received her medical degree (MD) from Tehran University of Medical Sciences with honors. In 2017, she received her MPH degree in infectious diseases from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, ranked number one. Some of her honors and responsibilities are as follows:
• Vice-President of Research at Research Institute of Functional Neurosurgery, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (since 2024)
• Selected as the elected lady of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in the Iranian Women's Health Week commemoration ceremony (SABA) (2020, 2021)
• Research Manager at Functional Neurosurgery Research Center, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (since 2020)
• In charge of ethics empowerment workshops in the Office of Vice-Chancellor of Research and Technology, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (2020)
• Manager of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine Research Center, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (2010-2020)
• Executive Secretary of various national and international congresses and seminars

Secretary of the Committee
Dr. Meysam Akhlaghdoust was born in 1988 and holds a professional doctorate in general medicine from the Islamic Azad University of Medical Sciences in Tehran and is an MPH student at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. Some of his scientific research backgrounds are as follows:
-Winner of a silver medal at the Swiss International Competition for Inventions and Innovations
-Selected inventor of the 7th National Elite Foundation Invention Festival
-Selected graduate of Islamic Azad University of Medical Sciences, Tehran
- Winner of a silver medal in the first world competition of the IFIA World Federation of Inventors
-Selected researcher of Islamic Azad University of Medical Sciences, Tehran
-Member of the IFIA World Federation of Inventors
-Acquisition of a sample and selected young statue of Tehran province by the Minister of Sports and Youth
-Research Manager of Pars Minimally Invasive and Advanced Methods Research Center, Iran University of Medical Sciences (2015-2016)
-Research Officer of Research Committee of Islamic Azad University of Medical Sciences, Tehran (2010-2011)
