Functional Neurosurgery Research Center was proposed and approved by the University Research Council on October 4, 2007, and was established in 2008 at the Shohadaye Tajrish Educational Hospital with the approval of the Development Council of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education. This center has various research activities in the field of diagnosis and treatment of neurological diseases. Moreover, the center collaborates with stem cell research centers and Royan Stem Cell Technology Company in the field of stem cells to study the treatment of spinal cord injuries and cerebral palsy.
